Where the experts on June 5th – 7th meet / Versatile sessions on hydrogen and fuel cells / Solutions for the clean energy transition
hy-fcell Canada, the premiere event for professionals in the hydrogen and fuel cell community, today announced a diverse, high-caliber program of speakers for the two day event that will share their experiences and provide information on the latest projects and technical developments. Hosted by Messe Stuttgart at the Vancouver Convention Centre East in Vancouver, BC June 5th – 7th, 2023, the event will bring together international thought leaders, hidden champions, and start-ups from across the industry for engaging and interactive sessions.
The event program includes plenary sessions with political and industry leaders as well as panel discussions with representatives from leading companies and organizations. Various workshops will include experts working together with participants to find solutions to current issues such as roadmaps, hydrogen hubs and commercialization. Plus, the highly anticipated “Dare-to-Ask” sessions will feature short presentations designed to stimulate discussions.
hy-fcell will be welcoming Prof. Dr. Christian Mohrdieck (cellcentric), Daryl Wilson (Hydrogen Council), Andrew Vesey (Fortescue Future Industries North America) and Laura Brumsey (Compressed Gas Association) to speak in a panel discussion on accelerating the rise of the green hydrogen economy. “Long before hydrogen was popular, the Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association has been convening the industry to share insights and progress,” recalls Daryl Wilson, Executive Director at Hydrogen Council. “Now hydrogen is the hot topic and there will be lots to catch up on at this year’s hy-fcell conference. I am looking forward to joining old friends and making new ones in beautiful Vancouver.”
Prof. Dr. Christian Mohrdieck, CEO of cellcentric, is convinced: “The trend towards fuel cells is irreversible. We see the fuel cell as a future technology for mobility, especially in the field of heavy-duty long-distance transport. I’m looking forward to exchanging ideas with industry experts at hy-fcell and sharing my own expertise.”
The “Hydrogen Production and Electrolyzers” discussion with Christopher Norris (Siemens Energy Canada), Shelley Babin (Atura Power), David Wick (Enapter) and Stephen Szymanski (Nel Hydrogen US) will focus on electrolysis using carbon-free hydrogen from renewable and nuclear resources to produce clean and economically conscious hydrogen. The “First Nation Energy Leadership” session will showcase and discuss the interests of Indigenous peoples, their Nations, and businesses participating in the emerging hydrogen energy sector.
On June 5th, Technical Tours will give attendees the opportunity to visit Vancouver’s pioneers and leaders in the hydrogen and fuel cell industry while getting to know the city. Tours will depart from the Vancouver Convention Centre and travel by bus to a variety of innovative companies. The tour culminates at the hy-fcell Welcome Reception.
Tickets for the 2-day event includes access to all of the conference sessions, workshops and the exhibition floor as well as admission to the celebratory event at Mahony’s Tavern on June 6th for additional opportunities to network and socialize in a casual setting.
