ReneSola, a supplier of solar photovoltaic products, has secured contracts with solar energy generator Lightsource Renewable Energy to supply 69.5MW of modules for solar power plants in the UK.
These modules, approximately 278,000, are anticipated to produce enough power for more than 23,000 consumers in the UK.
ReneSola CEO Xianshou Li said that the company was working with Lightsource Renewable Energy for around three years now, highlighted by significantly large order of modules in 2013.
“The quality of our glass allows our modules to reach relatively high electricity production levels, particularly with regard to diffused light, which is characteristic of the cloudy and overcast conditions often seen in the UK,” Li added.
Lightsource Renewable Energy managing director Kareen Boutonnat said, “We are pleased with the quality of ReneSola’s solar modules and with the company’s proactive support during the period of anti-dumping uncertainty. We are confident their modules will benefit our operations and hope to establish a long-lasting relationship that will help grow the UK solar market further.”
