Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd recently appointed Kiyoshi Okazoe as the new President of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc , a wholly owned subsidiary of MHI, effective October 1, 2016.
A veteran of the MHI North America operations, Okazoe succeeded Kenji Ando, who assumed the position of President and CEO, Energy & Environment, based in Tokyo.

I am confident that under Okazoe-san’s leadership and extensive experience in the U.S., the business will continue to expand and we will continue to deepen our customer relationships and commitments to the region.”

Kiyoshi Okazoe joined MHI in 1976 and has spent his 40-year career at MHI. Okazoe has taken leadership roles across MHI’s businesses and brings an understanding of all elements of the value chain from engineering through design, procurement to construction and project management, even including manufacturing. His most recent position was Head of Engineering Headquarters. He has also previously served as Vice President of Machinery, Equipment & Infrastructure, Executive Vice President & General Manager of MHIA, Executive Director of Mitsubishi Nuclear Energy Systems, Inc. and General Manager of MHI’s Environmental & Chemical Plant Division.
This will be Okazoe’s fifth posting in the U.S. with MHI, for a total of over 13 years of operating in the U.S. Okazoe holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Nagoya Institute of Technology.
