UK-based subsea engineering and construction company Subsea 7 has announced three offshore contracts worth more than $300m, from Brazilian multinational energy company Petrobras.
The scope of work for Subsea 7 under the two lump sum contracts involve installation of two export flexible Lazy Wave Risers at the Sapinhoa and Lula NE fields located in the Santos Pre-Salt Basin at water depths of about 2,100m, offshore Brazil.
The day rate contract involves project management, engineering and installation of flowlines and umbilicals supplied by Petrobras.
Subsea 7 Brazil senior vice president Victor Bomfim said the company will support Petrobras in the project work.
“We’re proud to be selected by Petrobras to perform these important projects, using our in-depth experience of operating in ultra-deep water,” Bomfim added. The operations will commence in 2013.
